Michael's early passion was music. He picked up his first bass in the 5th grade and was reading music and performing by 7th grade. By 9th grade he was playing in musicals, such as Jesus Christ Super Star, West Side Story among st many more over his musical journey. He was taught by a Jazz musical teacher and having a natural ear for music, Michael's talent and style now encompasses many genres from 70's soul, funk, to 80's rock and rnb. Once he finished college, he joined a cabaret band playing Italian classics and Australian top 40. This opened up his musical career to the live scene, to the broader industry and introduced him to a diverse range of musicians. After 3 years he decided to change direction in the style of music being performed and joined a popular cover rock band in Northern Victoria - Spank The Monkey. He has evolved into the musical professional he is today and has also honed his skills as a keyboardist and vocalist, two of his other passions making him a well rounded member of the band. In 2014 Spank The Monkey, the band announced their retirement and whilst this was a difficult decision for each band member, Michael knew his passion for music meant he must continue playing, so he embarked onto his next project. In late 2014, Party Rock were searching for a bass player, Michael auditioned and has been playing with Party Rock ever since. Michael now looks forward to journey that Party Rock will take on in 2016 and coming years.
